These activities always work for me! I find myself utilizing them more and more these days! :)
1
Take A Walk!
Walking provides great stress reduction. Also good for cardiovascular health.
2
Listening To Music
I just put on my favorite tunes and crank it up!
3
Racing R/C Cars
I know, I'm a big kid at heart. I however find it quite relaxing driving the cars around. I also get a real charge out of the expressions on the faces of both kids and adults as the car whizzes by!
4
Being At Water's Edge
Often I love going to the beach super early, sit and just let the rush of the waves connect with my soul. The serenity and solitude help me 'regroup' I then am ready to get going once more.
5
Museum Visitation
Spending the day at a museum can be so very relaxing. Living here in Los Angeles I'm surrounded by many great venues including the 'World-Class, World-Famous' Getty Center and Getty Villa!
6
The Santa Monica Pier
A trip to the pier makes me the proverbial 'kid in the candy store!' Great food, games, rides, people, and of course the beach with all those 'curvy cuties' moving about! What more could you ask for? :) A date perhaps!
7
A Long Drive
Perhaps this should have been my number one! Give my a 'hot' car and the keys and stand back! All I need is a 'twisty' stretch of open road, top down, the music up loud, and I can just feel those layers of stress 'peel' away!
8
Go Fly A Plane
Flying is my total stress reduction system! Flying on a gorgeous day is sheer heaven. Landing for a good lunch then going aloft again has the tendency to give me an immense feeling of euphoria!
9
Cooking/Baking
Believe it or not, but getting in the kitchen and rattlin' them 'pots & pans' can also reduce a fair bit of stress. Plus if you're pretty good at it, you'll have something tasty to nibble on!
10
Keep On Traveling
Having the ability to hop on a plane, train, ship and end up in some wonderful place 'soaking' up local color is a most exhilarating feeling! Even watching shows like 'Rick Steves' Europe' is the next thing to being there.
As we are all different these activities may or may not work for you, nor is it my place to suggest so. Just sharing what does it for me. However if you do find it helpful then hop aboard 'The No Stress Express' you don't need a ticket, just relax and enjoy!
