A man in Sydney, Australia thought he had the perfect place to hide his money, but ended up with a costly batch of chicken nuggets instead.

The unidentified man hid approximately $15,000 in his oven on Saturday after selling his Toyota Supra to help with his mortgage payment, according to a report. But on Wednesday, the man’s wife decided to pre-heat some chicken nuggets for their two daughters, sending their savings up in smoke.

“She never used it,” the man told NineMSN.com, as to why he hid the money in the oven. "It was everything I had. I've got nothing to my name. That money was supposed to go towards my mortgage."

The man attempted to deposit the money at his local bank after the accident, but they refused to allow the transaction, he told NineMSN.com.
It is unknown if the man will be able to get his money back. Since Australia’s currency is plastic, the bills melted together. The Reserve Bank of Australia's policy suggests customers with damaged bills take them to a local bank, which have already denied his request.

"If several pieces of the same banknote are presented, the Reserve Bank's policy is for each piece to be worth a share of the value in proportion to its size," the RBA policy says. "The combined value paid should be the face value of the original banknote."

Calls to Destroy Egypt’s Great Pyramids Begin.....

I came across this very interesting article. Source: sigh conversing

According to several reports in the Arabic media, prominent Muslim clerics have begun to call for the demolition of Egypt’s Great Pyramids—or, in the words of Saudi Sheikh Ali bin Said al-Rabi‘i, those “symbols of paganism,” which Egypt’s Salafi party has long planned to cover with wax. Most recently, Bahrain’s “Sheikh of Sunni Sheikhs” and President of National Unity, Abd al-Latif al-Mahmoud, called on Egypt’s new president, Muhammad Morsi, to “destroy the Pyramids and accomplish what the Sahabi Amr bin al-As could not.”sigh conversing

Let me make it clear ~ I'm only interested in the irreparable damage being done to historical artefacts; that have withstood the "slings & arrows" of thousands of years of natures elements - but are now being taken down by "man!"

mumbling Here goes....
Lord of the Flies is a novel (pub 1954) by Nobel Prize winning English author William Golding about a group of British boys stuck on an uninhabited island who try to govern themselves, with disastrous results. Incidentally it was also my high school English set-work, way, way back! grin

The boys at first, try to recreate the life, they had always know - that of order & civilization and elect Ralph to lead them forward in that direction.
However anarchy soon creeps in & rears its ugly head with disastrous consequences........frustrated

Jack, together with his band of mutinous rebels, usurps power from Ralph & within weeks, leads the group into an ever downhill spiral of antagonism, cruelty, savagery, bestiality and eventually culminates in the death/murder of two boys! blues
