Lost & Not Found

My dear friends:

Is it possible to get lost, without being lost?

Calling all females:

I recently wrote a blog soliciting advice regarding on-line dating and some shared experiences. I received some excellent feedback and in the process made some friends.

Reading, responding and writing blogs has become one of my highlights.

Like all of you, I have discovered that a majority of CS users are not what they claim to be. Matter of fact, it was really frustrating to put in so much effort only to find out that I was being taken for a ride. I felt that I may have learnt from my experience and adapted a verification protocol for our mutual protection. It is quite simple really, let us talk on the phone, if things go well, let us meet and chat on the webcam, and if things are looking to get serious, let us exchange some identification document.

Usually, at around the “let us meet to chat on the webcam”, I stop hearing from my prospects. Remember, we have exchanged a number of emails, chatted on an IM site, and have had telephone conversations. My curiosity compelled me to look into why these ladies are camera shy.

I discovered from my female CS friends that from their perspective, CS is filled with s*xual predators and deviants. I will not go into the exacting details, but I am sure that most will have experienced this behavior and the heart wrenching feeling when you are face to face with someone who you though are soul mate material.

This brings me to my dilemma, how do you approach the subject of a verification protocol in order to filter out the fakes, and at the same time, not come across as a pervert?

Life looking forward without looking back

Some say that one must never for whatever reason turn ones back to life. Can life be lived only looking forward?

of this that and other things

I have always wondered how different people, cultures and religions perceive and define relationships, friendships, love and etc. I often thought that I knew what they meant, because I was experiencing, but never thinking about their meaning.

I would like to hear from all of you and your thoughts and experiences.
