Life looking forward without looking back

Some say that one must never for whatever reason turn ones back to life. Can life be lived only looking forward?

My respect of iFreee. My opinion such. Who doesn't remember the past, it has good no future. Errors of last years, have to teach us, won't repeat in the future.

We live our life in the past, present, & future.
We remember the past, the memories.
We live in the moment, a gift of time.
We look forward to the future, what's to come.

We can't only live in the future, we're only living in the present moment.
We should embrace the present moment & look forward to future. But at the same time not let our past hold us back.

We can't turn our back to life.....it already happened & is happeneing. Our past shapes us who we are today....good or bad. Life is a gift. If we turn our back to life, then are we really living?

I find it hard to separate that which has shaped who I am from the day to day experiences and where I think I'd like to see myself in the future... can we ever turn our back on "where we come from" how we "became" who we are? Do we really know the "best" path to take? How much control over intention should we put into what we want in our lives? Your questions leads to many more questions.

There is some value to letting fresh ideas enter our reality and to sweep away those things which no longer have value, but... are those things of the past ever really gone?

I think it takes years of renewal and adjustment to find balance and it is no easy task to do this. It's a life long journey... peeling away the layers of the onion...
