I'm really not religious but I still love this time of year, it just give you hope for the future. This year has been challenging so far. But as I walk outside without a coat or sweater and see the flowers starting to bloom the smiles come easier and my heart is lifted to new heights.
Maybe that is why I am on here again. Hoping with this renewal of spring I may also have a renewal. I don't really need a man in my life right now but my life would be so enriched by having a special someone to go out and enjoy the local waterfalls or check out the aquarium. I am still so new to the area there are many things I have yet to see or experience.
Maybe it is that fact I have a birthday next week and I am feeling nostalgic. Another year has passed and the only thing I can say is that I have lost 30 lbs. in the last year. I may still be a work in progress but I am making headway and that is all that matters.
This time of year can be bitter sweet. I love the new life around me the plants blooming but I hate to see my flannels sheets go back into the closet for another season. But the last few nights I have found myself burning up even with the ceiling fan on. Flannel sheets may not be fashionable but they are soft and cozy and when you go to bed you feel safe and secure and completely relaxed.
Flannel sheets to me mean more than just something on my bed they are also a sign of independence and a freedom of sorts. That sounds nuts right? My ex was so warm natured that I could not have flannel sheets even if it got stupid cold outside.
I wonder if I should update my profile looking for a man who is nice to cuddle with but not so warm that he can not abide flannel sheets......Maybe that is too far.
So what are you putting away with the change of the season?
I have been working to get a business off of the ground for several months and am getting frustrated. I joined an online resource rover.com and waited for the dog walking positions to roll in, nada. I posted on Craigslist and again nothing. I have started putting out flyers and I am starting to think, I am going to have to get a paying job. Oh and I applied to a pet resort as a dog walker and haven't heard a peep.
Please if you have any ideas clue me in. I really wanted this to work out. I love dogs and would love to be able to wake up in the morning knowing I would not only get out and exercise (so I could get rid of the gym membership) but I would be able to work with man's best friend all day long.
