Is it normal to say' i quit looking for love?

I have gave my self deadline that if i am in 51+ still don't find the love of my life i will stop looking. I have been single for 3years now. Still don't find love. I think it all has to do with after failed engagement. I had just shut down! When men talk to me i don't look straight in eye, and also put up a very serious face that says stay away! Most men in my community abuse alcohol or they are married. When they approach me they would be under influence , and tell me how they love me but afraid that i am not easy approachable . Yes i do it because i am protecting my self. I work with people on daily basis my scope of practice does not allow me to get involve with anyone in my community for confidential reason s. My colleagues suggested this online dating. It feels very lonely to stay on your own i must admit. At the sometime i am worried i would keep searching till i reach 60, many people are struggling to find the real genuine love. To save me from heart breaking i rather set my self deadline of searching, this is it. I will always have a space for love in my heart. Love will find me when i am not expecting . What i like about this site it has many things to keep the mind busy not only dating. I will still be here to chat to you friends.

Is he into me?

How do you know if a guy is into you? The guy tells you that he likes you and give you his contact numbers, then you chat on the phone with him. He then tells you that he is falling in love with you, we must get to know each other. When you also starting to like the guy arranging to meet for coffee. Boom! The next thing you still find this same guy on dating site still searching, or chatting with other women, but not chatting with you even if he sees you that you are online. I already has an answer, I get the message. He be a guy who is a player even if he is 60 years old +. What kind of a man is he? I keep on asking myself that question. It came to my mind that there some men who are really here because in reality no women can stand them in real life. They are Cheating and playing with women's feelings to boost their egos. Others don't really know what they want, they are just here for fun. How do I know if the guy is into me without getting my hopes high?

Have anyone met someone they liked here

It came to my mind that I have been on the dating site for so long that I have been chatting to people who are most scammers. I have even learn their tricks they using to try to scam me. That had taught me to be very careful, not to trust anyone who sweet talk me to give them my personal details. The only thing I kept on asking myself why are these people choose my profile? Do I look vulnerable ? Will I ever meet a genuine person here? Are some profiles genuine? Are these things written in peoples profiles genuine? Will I ever find my soulmate here? I don't even bother to to view peoples profiles, because I think I am just wasting my time. The only thing I do when I sign in, I check messages of these people who are after my email, or my contact numbers. Now they give you their email address so that when you email them they get your email. Really this has turned me off! Have anyone met someone here? Or has anyone been on the date, how was it like? Do we have people who have real genuine profile here?

Dating divorcee

I have friends who are consent about being in a relationship with a person who is divorced. I got worried to hear that falling in love with divorced person is a problem. I am told that they have issues of their past, bringing their past relationship problems to the current relationship. I am told that there is comparison, one is expected to behave like ex and do what ex used to do. Sometimes you are expected to dress and lose weight like the previous did. They even talk about their ex spauses, if there hear a song that liked by ex; they will say' this song reminds me of my ex! I am told you find others changing partners, their relationship don't last. This has also reminded me that I was once in a relationship with a divorced man who used to tell me about his past, he used to talked to me the whole night, blaming his wife all the time. He had never talked about what he did wrong for him to end up divorced. I could sense anger in him, even though he had been divorced fifteen years ago. I was told that I am the eleventh women he dated and invited to his place. I decided to end the relationship. I am very consent about this. Do people come from divorce go for counseling after marriage have been broken? Why do they rush in to relationship when they are not heal from the pain of divorce?

Love me for me

It came to my mind that looking for love is like looking for a job. It looks like one will keep on searching till hair gets grey. People these days are looking for someone who have something. Material things and beauty/handsome, are the main things looked for. Do we really know what love is, or what love is all about? You can call me old school, I still believe in love old fashion way. My criteria was my age group 51+ but it looks like my age groups are after young blood, some younger men are responding to my profile. I have been asking my self why older men are looking for younger women?yes it is a choice, but midlife crises plays a role. A male friend of mine said" it is because when older men looking for younger men, they feel younger too to date younger women. Then if it is really like that it must be the suffering from midlife crises. Younger men are looking for financial stability in older women. Please don't get me wrong not every one is looking for that in relationship. But I have come across people who are looking for something in a relationship, but using the name of love. Is there unconditional love? Why is it so hard to find love?
