In the meantime.....
I see that I need to re-read the book by Iyanla Vanzant, In The Meantime..... Being a Gemini I have a tendency to move emotionally at "mach 10 with my hair on fire" (what movie is that from????) lol. But seriously it is like I have one switch, on and off. When I am not interested a thousand things could not sway me to got out with you. And yet if the switch is on, it feels like waiting is not an option, "arn't we together already"!!! So the whole book is about being "in the meantime" which is all the time. Waiting in the grocery store line or the ATM at the bank. Waiting to hear back from a friend about what time to meet at the movies. Even waiting to hear if your project will be accepted or not at work. Everything is "in the meantime" except when your not, ex. your with your lover, your boss is speaking to you about a raise, your speaking to the someone at ATT about your krappy cell phone service. Then you are put on hold, he's just told you that he's met someone else or your waiting in the hospital for your son while he is in surgery for an appendectomy. In other words we are only in the moment when we are fully present to that moment, waiting for another moment or wanting to go back to "that" moment is just being "in the mean time".So I find that the "waiting is the hardest part" and that I am definitely in the "meantime" right now. So I will make every effort to be present to this moment even though I would like it to be in another moment. And actually I love writing so this moment of typing each letter is a joy for me!! Ahh hah I'm in the moment, hope it lasts. Oh darn! hanging on it makes it slip away that much faster. Oh well when "we fall, we get back up, but we never stop dancing". So everybody keep dancing even when it is the "meantime" and enjoy the anticipation and create moments for others to enjoy as well:)
