To love and lose is the highest price to pay.....

It is an interesting thing to move towards a light and then see it dim in front of you and fade away. Kind of like the retreating of the sun to the darkness below the horizon sometimes the timing on love is off. So for right now the idea of finding a soul mate and someone who meets me in the deep department of my psyche has departed to stay in the safe world of solitude and distance. So sad, so sad and I always think that it will work, ever the optimist I believe that love prevails over all. But perhaps that is the love I believe in and perhaps there are lots of different ideas concerning this enigma? May he find his way to what is frightening and move through it. I am sad and feel my heart tighten and hurt but through the hurt perhaps I have learned a lesson. Miss him already.

Hopes spring eternal with each and every new contact. You send words of endearment and wait anxiously for similar sentiments in return. After a few exchanges you feel you are making progress. You are truthful and try hard not to act macho or controlling. Suddenly as a few days pass you silently see your latest hope of success evaporate into thin air. You search your psyche desperately trying to find the wrong word or wrong phrase that sent your contact fleeing in the opposite direction. You resume looking at profiles. You select one you like and send out a message. She replies. The process begins again. Someone asks you if you are having success on Connectingsingles.com. You bite your tongue and do not answer.confused
