I retired from South Africa to Malta a couple of years ago and visited Turkey for the first time last month.
Fell I love with Marmaris on the Med, bought a house while I was there and will be moving up next month.
A place really worth looking at – only one problem – I’ve got two months to learn Turkish!
Yah, Great Place!
Cheers!
really nice area with beautifull things and nature if you can go outside of the usual roads ;).
and peoples are so wonderfull there in a great mix of cultures.(turkish, kurdish, iranians and irakians living peacefully)
But wondered actually why u like Turkey.
Most of the people who like Turkey is generally those are at their old ages of northern european countries whose climate is depressing, and honestly by economic reasons only (cheaper here than italy, spain, greece) choosing to come here - mostly choosing resort towns and not needing to learn even turkish. No big problem at all, they are welcome, too; however, it is, I think, unfair situation of system of capitalism (any rich man going to a poorer land will feel more powerful and so happier than his/her own land:).
That is why I wanted to ask u why u like, maybe hoping that u enjoyed also cultural ingredients of my land. Anyhow, very welcome and hope u find turkish woman mate here, who knows!
