Virtual Dating...Right or Wrong?

I recently returned to Singapore after working away on business for 28 days. Whilst away I contacted my ex-wife regarding some personal issues that needed closure. So me being me, I invited her to Singapore hoping to make her feel at ease & thus we could be as close friends (like adults do) whilst sorting our affairs.
I was startled when she reacted badly, due to me using a dating site, saying it was for end of line losers, & I began to regret ever inviting her here. Pointing out to her that she had a new man in her life & I was merely trying to move on.
Well, is being on here a good or bad thing? One thing is for sure...Never invite your ex back into your life in any shape or form!
