And I think that you may be right! The Blogs are NOT the dating page. However with the right input (by not treading upon anyone's toes here) you could ADVERTISE your presence more and in that respect, love may come knocking at your door instead!
Best O luck, my rule breaking friend!
Send out some flowers, say hello.
Just find some ladies to talk to......take it from there....see what happens.
Good luck and don't give up. Out of the umpteen billion folk in the world there may only be one for you. Thats an awful lot of looking.....

Maybe I am not a true romantic - I don't believe in "the one"
Have you ever been on a course at your work. Different folk from different departments and seen how a group mentality works?
Maybe a dozen strangers thrown together for 4 days. Whe you hit the dining room in a large canteen the group sticks together. Friendships are made with folk you would never have looked at a few days previously.
You are walking down the street and a beautiful woman is walking toward you.... Until you can talk to her, communicate, make her laugh...there is no difference to her and the beautiful Red Ferarri parked next to you on the street.
Once you start talking to folk and start to see there inner--self the outward looks become less important. Only there might you find the "one" or a "hundred"
