Ten men waiting for me at the door? Send one of them home, I'm tired.

RE: Update! After my shocking adventure at my house...

@Parti...I got an ad for a new water heater!!!!

If I had known

Thanks, U. teddybear

If I had known

Thanks, everyone...but if I've made Parti cry, what have I done???

Rowdy...at 43, I've had more than my fair share of loss, it seems. We have to keep smiling...else, what is the point of life?

Sendsomeone...yes, you may. It is something, isn't, when we find that there are others who have felt the same things that we have.

RE: problems of older guys ;)

That made me LOL! rolling on the floor laughing

Michigan Girls

Well, 10k...I believe that Michigan girls are much like girls the world-round...many shapes and sizes.

Missing Persons

Oh Virgo...that makes me sad! I'm sorry your children are MIA...hopefully they will contact you some day. I would be lost if my children did that to me. Three of my boys are grown and if I haven't heard from them in a few days, I put out an APB and let them know they need to call their mother!

Michigan Girls

@10k...pair of what? cojones? rolling on the floor laughing

Missing Persons

zweet...yes, many people come and go through our lives. Some for good and some for bad...

rummy...I've tried to find her...but not a trace! :(

Michigan Girls

Oh Jana...I wish I could say about Michigan men! I have met some very nice ones...but not THE one. It seems that every man I meet that I find interesting lives...somewhere else. Being a single mom, not so easy to just take off and live the life I'd like. But someday, when my little guy is grown, perhaps I will be able to see the world and find my man.

RE: Let it Snow,

Yes, it's beautiful, Ter...but who's gonna' shovel my driveway?????

RE: Snow

Finally getting snow here...not that I'm excited about it. Are you getting buried up there, Terbear?

RE: Coming home late every night

You are right, Adam...it's not always the man who is the instigator. And to be fair...it's a two way street. In every relationship, if we are honest, there is enough blame to go around when it doesn't work out.

RE: Your Daily Three

1. Walking home after school in my hometown. It was a great kiss, btw. He kissed me again a few years ago and I have to say...still great. blushing

2. Why people do the things they do...still trying to figure that one out.

3. A pair of jeans and new boots...for my birthday.

I hate hospitals!!!

Thanks, guys!!! bouquet

He's doing much better. Still weak, but can carry on a conversation now and has been playing with his legos. He's a little trooper and doesn't let anything get him down for long. Also, a good night's sleep in his own bed helped! cheering

RE: Your Daily Three

1. food/shelter/meds for my son

2. yes - i grew up across the road from a farm

3. last week i drove a friend to the airport then drove his car back...and had to put gas in it on the way home!

RE: Three Questions

1. A teacher or a journalist

2. Pink

3. Play cards

When I was little, we lived out in the country and it was not unusual for the power to go out during severe storms. We used to get out my moms old kerosene lantern and sit around the table and play cards...some of the best times of my life were when the power went out. grin

RE: Reasons for having children

Our reasons for procreating may indeed be biological and selfish, hammockman...but a true parent forgets that as soon as the child is put into their arms. From that moment on, your only thought is for the wellbeing of the child. Anyone who has a child knows that there are moments when that child will profess to hate you...will be difficult and troublesome...but through it all you love them still.

I am gonna' make it through this year, if it kills

Excellent, Yash! Perfect song for this blog!

I am gonna' make it through this year, if it kills

Aw Frank...I'm (mostly) harmless!!!!

And Yash...you made me think of this...

I am gonna' make it through this year, if it kills

LOL, Frank! When I was with my ex and things got really bad, I would tell my friends to practice their interview for the 11 o'clock news..."She seemed so NORMAL!"

I am gonna' make it through this year, if it kills

Happy New Year!! :)

You've got mail...

Thanks, Exotic... I will admit to having a smile on my face today because of emails from a certain gentleman. You are right, pops... it makes all the difference in the world. cheers

Happy Christmas!

Thanks, Yash! Soooo many familiar faces! That was fun! cheers

Happy Christmas!

Merry Christmas, everyone! And it's Albert Finney, austinjames! He was actually quite young when he made this movie in the 70's and I think did an awesome job reflecting Scrooge's inner twistedness in his outward appearance.

Plus...I love the songs. grin

RE: today is the shortest day here....

Jana...I had not heard that about the visitors...and as luck would have it, two of my boys are visiting me today, so my hope for the new year is very good indeed.

youretheone...it has been mild, hasn't it. i keep waiting for that boot full of snow to drop!!

Why, oh why?!?

LOL!!! I don't know why you read it, Parti...but I'm glad you stopped by!

Aswina...I agree. If you don't ask the questions, you'll never know the answers!

And terbear...thanks for the tutorial!!! professor

Alone!

I love your attitude, Frank! I do enjoy reading your posts!

Rummy...I may not be alone with the cats here, but as someone wise once pointed out, Dogs have owners, Cats have staff! wave
