The most wonderful time of the year...
Every year at this time people are seen doing wonderful works of charity. Most of them say they should do it all year but then don't. I must admit I fall into that category. However there are many people who do this everyday all year long.What do they want in return? Attention?, Thanks?, A hey, look at me? I don't think so. If they did they would be out in front of everyone doing what they do.
These people are behind the scenes. They volunteer regularly at their church, local soup kitchen, help their neighbor, etc. This should even include people who do small random acts of kindness because you never know how this will affect the people the do them for. This can be a simple as holding a door for someone who has their hands full, carrying a tray of food in a restaurant for someone with many small children.
I am going to encourage everyone to look for these things now and all year long and then notice how both parties react and how they feel about the other person.
Better yet be the one doing those random acts of kindness and see how you feel and how you are changed.
If we do this I can guarantee this will be a better world to live in and we will become better people.
