Here is a painting I done. Its called "Celtic Girl"

I love to paint and I lose myself in painting. I try to find the subject and idea in my mind and then paint it . I used acrylic paints and satin spray varnish. I love Celtic Design and I love sharing my work. I have done quite a few paintings but this one all my friends love. I started to get quite fond of it. I choice to give it to charity auction. I was sad to see it go but happy it went to a good cause.

A nice piece of work that my friend,,drawing with pencils/pastels is my passion,its a great way to detach slightly from reality and as you say its easy to lose ourselves in it,,ive never really tried painting pictures etc but do intend to when i get more time,,great that you gave it to charity...someone will enjoy that painting on theyre wall..nice one..cheers

I was always fascinated whenever I see a painting ... because I can not paint so I can only see and enjoy it.
I am always amazed at a painting and think how great the painter what was on his mind poured into a painting..

yes Twazzle70...I sometimes take a long time to pay attention to a painting, I like to pay attention to sketch a painting, because sometimes from there I could see something... wish I could see one of your painting...

Hello Stephenmcnulty,
I am not that familiar with Celtic designs, but this does bring to mind some designs of Celtic Runes I've encountered.
I think you have a gift and I also think it is very "Wonderful" that you choose to share it from you heart rather than you purse!
"Bravo" & "Kudos" to you Stephenmcnulty!...T truly like your art and admire you as an artist, but moreover, "I Admire You As A Man"!

It's beautiful it looks like Acrylc ? I love the woman and the Celtic design. By the way I paint myself.I love watercolour and also use Acylic, I can't use oils as my cottage is tiny and the Oil paint and stuff needed to paint in oils gives me Asthma. Beautiful painting, well done, keep it up.
