Don't miss out on a blessing
Someone forwarded this to me, and I thought you'd all enjoy this one... )The man whispered, "God, speak to me" and a meadowlark sang.
But, the man did not hear.
So the man yelled, "God, speak to me" and the thunder rolled across the sky.
But, the man did not listen.
The man looked around and said, "God let me see you" and a star shined brightly.
But the man did not see.
And, the man shouted, "God show me a miracle" and a life was born.
But, the man did not notice.
So, the man cried out in despair,
"Touch me God, and let me know you are there."
Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man.
But, the man brushed the butterfly away ... and walked on.
I found this to be a great reminder that
God is always around us in the little and simple things that we take for granted ...even in our electronic age... so I would like to add one more:
The man cried, "God, I need your help!" And an e-mail arrived reaching out with good news and encouragement.
But, the man deleted it and continued crying ...
Don't miss out on a blessing because it isn't packaged the way that you expect.
Expect the unexpected and have a blessed weekend!

One is from a pastor/author who wrote: "Sometimes we have to learn the same lessons, 50-60 times over before we finally get it."
Another is Gideon's tests to God with the fleece and the ground... although that one had acceptance on the questioner's end.
Yet another is the story my pastor has told many times before, about the man on the roof of a house. It goes like this...
There was a major flood one day, and the water was up to the rooftops. The man was trapped on top of his house, on the roof, with no high ground to be found. A group of people in an inflatable raft saw him, came along the roof and told him to get in. The man refused saying, "I'm waiting on God to save me." 10 minutes later, a man in a fishing boat came along, seeing the man on the roof, and asked the man to get aboard so they can get to safety. The man refused, saying, "I will wait for the Lord to save me." A helicopter flying overhead, spotted the man, lowered a ladder down to him and announced over the loudspeaker, to climb on and they will fly him to safety. However he shouted back to them, barely audible, saying, "I will wait for my God to save me and lift me to safety." They insisted to him to climb on. Again he said he would wait for the Lord, God Almighty, to save him. Having other missions and people to rescue, they went away. No one knows to this day if the man survived or not.
Sad, when we don't see the signs, or we refuse to see them. Sometimes that's our nature. Of course that isn't very smart. We are told to seek wisdom, to ask for it, and it will be given liberally. I've made some of these mistakes from time to time. Jesus also said, you can discern the signs of the earth... how come you can't discern the signs of the time? It's a choice and it's up to you, so choose wisely. Enjoy!
