What is important in life?
Do people know what is important in life?Is the answer that what is important is subjective i.e: what is important to one person will always vary to the next person and this is ok.
Or are there things in life that everyone should hold dear? Should everyone value family, kindness and love above everything else or are these things just important to me and should I respect the fact that perhaps career, freedom and independence for example are more important to others and their choice is equally valid.
Is any way of life Ok as long as your happy and not harming anyone? or are some ways of living wrong or immoral?
These are the questions that keep coming back to me. I guess it is harder to be a good person than a happy person.
Also does selfishness= hapiness on one level. Should you put others first or yourself?
As long as you don't harm anyone are you a good person or should you do more than that and go out of your way to help people?
Is this God putting these questions in my mind? and why do people not seem to care about morality?
I think about these things every day. I am a deep thinker and I have been glad to see that there are other people on the site who's hearts look like mine.

It is the fiber and strength of a confident soul.
Hold on to hope; it banishes doubt and enables attitudes to be positive and cheerful.
Hold on to trust; it is at the core of fruitful relationships that are secure and content.
Hold on to love; it is life's greatest gift of all, for it shares, cares and gives meaning to life.
Hold on to family and friends; they are the most important people in your life, and they make the world a better place.
They are your roots and the beginnings that you grew from; they are the vine that has grown through time to nourish you, help you on your way, and always remain close by.
Hold on to all that you are and all that you have learned, for these things are what make you unique.
Don't ignore what you feel and what you believe is right and important; your heart has a way of speaking louder than your mind.
Hold on to your dreams; achieve them diligently and honestly.
Never take the easy way or surrender to deceit.
Remember others on your way, and take time to care for their needs.
Enjoy the beauty around you. Have the courage to see things differently and clearly.
Make the world a better place one day at a time,
and don't let go of the important things that give meaning to your life.
Try reading Gurdjieff. He is the the most objective writer I know.
He talks a lot about objectivity and subjectivity. You will at first find his ideas outlandish, but if you persevere you will change your mind. He deliberately made people exert themselves
to gain understanding. Beelzebubs Tales To His Grandson is the book
to start with - though he tries to put off people from reading it at the beginning - for a very good reason.
