Wondering why random chance is not favoring lately

I have never been the bar type and so to go to a bar to meet women has not been something I have done. Instead I have relied on random chance and the phrase "if you seek it know that it will never come". It has worked well enough in the past. It brought me two relationships, one that lasted for two years and another for three. But lately I have not been able to find someone who I feel a connection with or who feels a connection with me, they do not want to do more than go out for a few weeks or so and then move on. I wonder if the general instability is a factor. Whatever it is though I still think the bar scene is not for me.
