whyis being nice, taken the wrong way?

some people think they are gods gift to women
and cant handle rejection these grotty little men
are small minded and wreak it for others

Some men think that women are on here to hook up. We are not allowed to be here just for friendships or that we can be self reliant without a man in our lives. All too often I receive messages from men who come across as though they are a gentleman, but if you are not interested in them or want to take things slowly they go postal. It's crazy. You end up feeling like you have to be on guard with anyone who may send you messages or flowers. I dread receiving new messages and flowers because I just don't want to play mind games.

Keep doing what you're doing! I try to respond to all of my messages also. I think it is the respectable thing to do, even if I am not interested in dating the person who sent it. If someone took the time to drop me a line, I can take the time to say thank you. When you don't respond it demonstrates your lack of social skills. It really does show a persons true colors.

On the flip side, the people who get upset when you tell them you are not interested need to hone their social skills also. I would much rather appreciate someone taking the time to say "thank you, but no" than just being ignored.
