SOME ADVICE PLEASE!! TO DELETE OR REPLY!!

Hello all i need some advice here.Sence being on here off & on for 6yrs I have recieved lot's of mail.I alway's"go to the person's profile,check it out and would alway's reply wether with a "Hi cutie"(if they were my type") or a thanks for checking out my profile and good luck!! if not...I felt this was the polite thing to do! I am a very kind person and doing so would have many that would continue to write even after i sent a "polite" "Sorry your just not my type" only to continue to recieve ugly,hateful mail.I recieved a msg from a guy yesterday.I went and checked out his profile and yes i know looks are not everything but in rearind his information realized He "definatly" was not my type.He had many rude remarks reguarding women.How if they were not interested to "Jump off a building" not exact but you get the idea.So in fear of repeating past mistakes i deleted his msg figured he as i would assume "Oh well she was not interested" Then he sent me another msg late last night telling me "I AM A RUDE CONCEITED"PERSON" WON'T QUOTE HIS WORD LOL" Then went on to say "At least i could have replied,said not interested etc.So what do you all think??? Am i wrong?
