After Being Just Promoted To Lieutenant..The Enemy Attacked....And All But He... And 3 Other Soldiers Survived
The Lieutenant Ordered His 3 Surviving Soldiers To Flee To The Hills
Eventually..World War 2 Ended....But Not For the Lieutenant..He Had Orders Not To Surrender

The Enemy Dropped Flyers Onto The Jungle That Stated The War Was Over
The Lieutenant Thought It Was A Trap..So He Would Not Come Out
As Time Went On...The Lieutenant Had Fire Fights With The Locals...Killing Some Of Them

Eventually...In The Early 50s....One Of The 3 Remaining Under His Command..Left ...And Surrendered To The Authorities
The Other Two Were Eventually Killed In Fire Fights With The Locals

After Years That Went By..A Young Man Named Norio Suzuki..Who Was Looking For Him..Found Him In The Jungle
Andn Told Him That The War Had Been Over For Some Time
The Lieutenant Wanted Better Proof Than Just Words

Suzuki Returned To Japan... With A Picture Of Him And The Lieutenant As Proof
With This Proof... Of A Soldier ....That Was Still There In The Phillipines...Fighting The War
The Japanese Government Found His Commanding Officer...Major Yoshimi Tanaguchi
The Government Flew His Commanding Officer To The Island Of Lubang

After Almost 29 Years Of Still Fighting A War That Was Over
And....Upon Being Ordered...In Person.... By His Commanding Officer That He Can Surrender
Lieutenant Hiroo Onoda..Walked Out Of The Jungle ....And Formally Surrendered To The Authorities

After All.........."Orders Are Orders"
