Y-ellow CGD & All.
14 year olds are like cats. Give them a shiny thing and they'll play with it for hours.
Give them an old mobile phone with the SIM card removed perhaps? Tell them to text all their friends. "Knock your self out kiddo."
Just remember to fane igonance when the doctor trys to work out how she got texting thumb.

Dear Diary
This morning my mobile phone died just as I was leaving for work so had no phone all day lucky my current contract was due to end tomorrow because I hated my old phone anyway
Went to shops on my way home from work and got a new phone with a different service provider I love my new phone
The young 20yr old guy who served me and filled out the paperwork found out I was a massage therapist and asked me if he came to me for a massage if I would give him a happy ending
I said no of course but he spent the next 20 mins trying to convince me I should oh boy .. I can sure attract em

Had a fun night. Hung out at a friends for a while. Fortunately his g/friend was visiting .. its so much more fun to tease and annoy when one has a partner in crime. I think he is sorry that he ever introduced us.
Best part is that she rides, so looks like we'll grab a day off and all go riding up in the mountains sometime in the next few weeks. I cant wait .. should be fantastic.
Shortie managed to escape from the room and woke me at 6 this morning, apparently she has cooking today and NO ingredients. So was off to the shop and buying bl**dy stuff for home economics...
note to self.... get lock fixed on door or buy a padlock... (that'll keep her in)
Y-ellow All. Just out of interest, my unintentional sporadic behavior here has been due to the fact that I lost my best friend. Yes. My bicycle got stolen on Tuesday night. 1700 bux down the drain. And it wasn't without my best effort to protect it. Locked up, illuminated and other people looking out for it. And still it got stolen. I was in total shock till some time Wednesday. But I'm back out and fighting now.
I am having a new one built but it means I'll be off the road for a week and won't have the happy juices flowing for a while. But it gives me the opportunity to build a better vehicle and go faster and father.
AND A VERY BIG LOCK!
This will not beat me.
See, I have a thing called Fibromyalgia. (among other things) Fibromyalgia is like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. But according to my friends in the medical profession, Where CFS is curable, Firbomyalgia isn't. Well, I've got a whole different idea about that.
Once I had a proper diagnosis, with the help of my new doctor, I studied up on this stuff. Got the right chemicals flowing and went from hobbling around using a walking stick and spending the better part of a year laid up in bed, to peddling furiously and doing between 20 and 40 Kilometres per day on my bike. All In under a month. I may still ache all over but I know what that pain is. It's the pain of achievement. And I like it.
In fact, I haven't felt this good since I was an in-line skater. And to be perfectly frank, this is much better. Except when your bike gets knicked.
So Give me a week and you lucky South Australian ladies could be having an impromptu picnic with me on the lazy banks of the Torrens. Actually, to be honest, I don't care if you want to call it a date, I just want to roll up on my bike and have a mini picnic with someone. Feed the swans by the festival theatre for an hour or two and ride home with a big smile and a huge banner that reads. "Mission Accomplished."
Stay tuned for that one.
In the mean time, I need to catch up on everything I've neglected in the past month while I have the chance.
Oh. And I should mention. I now know the names of my two little China Girls. Lydia and Tracy. Ok they're Anglicized names. But it's a start. I'll get to the bottom of this one yet. I even got to shake Lydia's hand politely. They're so sweet. I'd invite them on a picnic but I'd have to buy all the picnic stuff from their shop which would make it a bit tricky to surprise them.
Anyway, Thanks all for being an inspiration. Abnormal services will be resumed as soon as inhumanly possible.

Hey Urban Yeti
I am not much of a reader but i did start reading your blog. My Aunt had Fibromyalgia, and it was cruel. Sorry to hear about your bike, hopefully you will be mobile again soon. You should hang around and mingle for a bit. Good luck!!

Dear Diary
Today I had training for work. It was called Reporting Crimes.. and went for 3 hrs.. but it was pretty cool.. the facilitator was pretty funny so the time went quickly.
Then I met up with a friend at lunch time and we went to the park to play
after that I went to the shops and bought more Sims2 games .. that is 5 in the last month.. I think I am addicted to that damn game
then I watched Ghost Whisperer tonight and cried and cried cos it was very sad

Y-ellow Ralf 'n' all.
I read all the time. I read between the lines. I even read the toilet paper. Hell, it makes better reading than one of Rupert's tissues. I can't help reading. It was when I started to read tea leaves that I knew I needed serious help.
Firbromyalgia is indeed cruel. Even if only because getting to the diagnoisis is so difficult. But it hurts and is crippling. And truth be known, I'm still having trouble with my foot and one finger. But the stronger you get the more you're able to fight it.
Without boring you with the technical details, the problem is getting to the point where you can move enough to start becoming stronger. You need to generate chemcials such as Glycogen in your muscles and you need to get sunlight to produce vitamin D. Not easy to do when you're crippled up and can't even crawl out of bed.
These substances are used in celuar repair. As well as, in the case of glycogen, being the basic fuel that muscles use. It's also produced, or should I say, converted in muscle tissue. So if you can produce a lot of it, the cells in your body can heal. But fibromyalgia works against you being able to do that.
It's not quite that simple but in the past, they'd tell you to simply stay in bed and get rest. This just makes it worse and causes a downward spiral. Generating glycogen and getting vitamin D seems to be much of the key. And it's not easy. It's still not easy but it's at least pleasurably uneasy.
Well, it would seem I'm not going anywhere for the next few days it would seem. And I DO enjoy your fine company. So I guess you're stuck with me hanging around for a while.
