Dear Dairy. (surely a cowgirl would have a dairy?)
Life's been hectic and strange and wonderful. Just the way I like it. But it's also been tiring and time consuming. So I haven't written much. But I have been trying to keep up with things at least.

But the good news is that I've met someone on CS here. I think we hit it off pretty well and I'd like to meet in person. Problem is, she lives in Kingaroy in Queensland. Yeah. Joh and Flow country. Land of peanuts and pumpkin scones.

How the hell am I going to get up there? I could probably afford to fly up to Brisbane if I got one of those cut-price fairs where you risk the plane dropping out of the sky and have to wait round an airport lounge for 3 weeks. But then what?

Usually when I travel, I need to be accompanied by an irrisponsible child under the age of 13. I'm just not safe to let out on my own.

I've got commitments down here. I'm not going to be able to get away for a couple of weeks. This is driving me nuts. Oh. Wait a minute. That should be. "I'm being driven TO nuts." Peanuts in this case. But it's going to take more than peanuts to get there.

I wanna go on a big adventure like real humans do. Damnit!

Anyway, I found someone. Now. How to make it work? I need to do more research I guess. So does anyone here know how to get there quickly, easily and hopefully in one piece. No assembly required? And without dressing up like a peanut and standing on the road looking lost.

That's a bit problematic too. She has a bit of a job up there. She likes it but it's not what she wants. And she has a son. She only moved there because she has family there. I've been trying to see if I can pull any strings down here since she said she'd like to do the same job in a city rather than the rural setting she's currently in. I don't have many contacts in that field but I've put the feelers out. I have lots of friends down here who'd contact me if they spotted something.

I'd be happy to do that for her anyway but it's nothing I can put my finger on immediately.

But in either case, it's a huge committment and we should find out if we're not both homocidal axe murderers first. Hey wouldn't that be great. Two homocidal axe murderers finding each other on CS.
"Wot? You too? Wow, we certainly have something in common. Let's get married immediately. I'll show you my chainsaw if you show me your's."

Spending those quiet nights at home. Lovingly sharpening each other's blades.
"Look honey. I bought a new clown suit today. Do you like it?"

The neighbours would think we had the greatest horror movies.

"Horror movies? No. These are just our home videos."

Jeez. I'd better find out if I'm an axe weilding homocidal maniac. Is there a test for that? Like one of those home pregnacy tests? Turns red and everyone hides the carving knives.

If I am, I'll have to be honest and put it in my profile. "Homocidal axe murderer seeking same." What am I talking about. I don't even own an axe. I've got a good shovel though.

But I digress.

I just figured that if I were to prove my undying love and commitment, I would have to go to her first. Initially at least. And even if it didn't happen that way, I at least need to know how to make it happen so that if needs be, I could make it look like I just dropped everything to be by her side. Although that probably looks too eager? I don't know? This is all new and exciting and adventurous to me. But she could really do with a hug and I can't give her a real one from here.

I'd heard there was a train from the airport. I'm not sure if they weren't saying there was a train that went through Kingaroy. Or a train to the city and then a bus to Kingaroy. I have a problem in that I don't travel real well either so I'm going to have to get some real training in to be fit enough.

It's a challenge but she seems like the real thing. I've never been on an actual romantic adventure before. It's all a bit scary but I'm guessing if I know what to expect in advance then I'll come through all shiny at the other end.

What do you think?

Of course, it would be nice if there was an easier way. I don't think there is though.
