Big_John: Biggest thing I have done since last Friday is roll off the couch to the floor so I could crawl to my bed. Not much chance of me doing too much. Thanks. I am trying to be careful and not re-injury myself. I don't want to go through this operation/surgery again.

Any time they take a knife to you is too many times. Just watch movies and raise hell on here for a while. Hope your better soon.

dcj22: I saw Karen at the other place (FB) the other day and she was asking what mischief I'd been stirring up here. I tell you, I've been an angel since I got out of jail!

I was just thinking how much I'm missing those old threads. Even the trouble makers are gone!

Laura25: Oh,

sorry to hear that.

So much for believing into a 'pregnant and barefoot' concept.

I was like nine months old so I dont remember it, but at least I know my brothers and sisters. Not like a lot of kids that get adopted

Laura25: Did any of the kids ever gets any attention in such a big family? Didn't you feel deprived?

My gran-parents on my father's side had 10 kids in their family.

My mom was one of ten and most of the kids were very close to her mother.

Your mom is from the same kind of family like my dad was - they all were also very close to each other, but I still can't imagine the pressure on a woman and the kids... Must be very tough.

Also siblings rivalry. I have two older brothers (all of us are very close in age)- uh oh I should know. laugh

They really didn't have problems with rivalry. Mom wasn't close to her oldest sister, but she got married when mom was 3. Mom had 7 brothers who all looked out for her very closely. They were pretty tight.

It was a lot different when we were kids. Especially for farm familys. They all worked on the farm to keep it going. Now kids dont have all that to keep them busy

That was my moms family. My mom was the only one out of 10 to actually graduate from high school. However, all of her brothers went on to get degrees and be very successful.

Wow!! See that isn't fair! A man can become a parent when he's 80, but women have this damn biological clock installed. It sucks! I want another baby. mumbling Where's the pouty face?
