Thought I'd share this with y'all.
This time last year I found a pair of male fox cubs, they barely had their eyes open, so I fed them with a syringe kept them warm etc, etc and hoped for the best. Mother obviously had been shot or run over.
These two survived...we called them Szandor and La Veylaugh
They grew up semi wild but more like pets. The neighbors got used to them coming for walkies like ordinary dogs.
Arrived home Saturday, after spending time with a friend who was in hospital...to discover
Both the kiddies were shot dead and minus their tails.
Its at times like that one would nearly prefer animals to humanssigh

Anybody else have unusual pets??

barf barf Oh that is so terrible ,im shocked and saddened ...

My kids adore animals , i spent all day yesterday in pet shops , they would be horrified to hear about that , its frightening to think that humans can inflict this cruelty sigh

I know...I gutted about it..they would play like puppies and lie in the sun when they could.
I thought the thing about rewards for foxtails was a thing of the past.
We also have a buzzard that occasionally will nab the food left for the foxes and the cat..hardly a pet though.
There was something on Sky news about dolphins blowing bubble-rings and swimming through them and making shapes like smoke rings.
Too cute heart beating

Yes many years ago i nursed and brought up a Red Milan chick to life and upt flight status. He or she flew free and kept coming back to its place of sanctuary in my garden shed. One day a neighbour grassed me to the authourities, who promptly came round and confiscated it and i got charged and found guilty of owning a bird of prey without a licence, and also got done under the washington protection act. The bird was put down by the authorities claiming it could never be released back into the wild as, so they claimed, was far too domesticated.

Thanks everyone..the only consolation is that well they had a family that loved them..that they had a year of semi-normality. They were together all the way. They would have had no chance otherwise.
I guess it was only pure greed. There are all sorts of unsavory practices going on with animals, lamping, ferreting hare coursing.

Thanks allapplause

Penalties are not harsh enough...but then they're not harsh enough for those taking human life either.
