My son was away for 3 weeks last year, it was like a lifetime.
A micro-second is too long. Depends on your circumstances I guess,
I could say 6 years come June in my other childs case.
I hate been parted from him!
Mine have been away for nearly a month....
It has been absolutely awful....

mine stays with my parents for 2-3 months every year,is good for her and it gives me a break too

the longest ive been away frm my little girl was wen she was 7weeks old,i went down to tipperary, missed her sooo much i got my friend to drive me back early next mornin, it was the most awful thing to happen to me even though shewas in the safest place with my mam.
dats nearly two yrs ago now and ive nt been away frm her since.

three weeks ....... not long at all and when they were back it was like they were never away.
Its healthy that they can stay away from you makes them appreciate u more for a minute or too when they come back

My daughter, one week a few years ago when she went to Lourdes.
My son, last summer when he went off with a group on sleep-over for a week.
Haven't had the 2 of them gone out of the house on the same night for 22 months, I don't know what I'd do if they were both gone for the night...
.... prob have some insane party with lap-dancers and everything...

I have only been apart from my boys for a couple of weeks at a time when Im on my hols......and apart from my daughter only when Im on my regular visits to Dublin but she is heading off to Ibiza in the July to work the summer season and Im upset already at the thought of it.....
