Im making the point because you indicated in previous posts this was one of the reasons why we should fill it out

we should fill it out so our ancestors can trace us in centuries to come they will know if we worked how many children we had etc thats about it

and we should not fool ourselves about it being of any other benefit

as to the comment about cutbacks i never said that.
I simply said our problems in our education system was never about money it was about lack of commitment to our children and lack of planning for the future ........... we reap what we sow and this state will plant the cheapest crops (metaphorically speaking ) and expect the highest yields that is all i am saying

eh correct me if im wrong we had a census 10 yrs ago


we knew a lot more about the children who were attending and about to attend school and this was in the decade of the celtic tiger

so can you explain why 1 in four children are leaving the primary school system with a reading age of 7 and less

can you explain why when they know the number of disabled children including I might add children in the severe and profound range of disability ( the latter who i might add our wise and wonderful state only decided needed to be educated in the last 15 yrs)have less supports in classroom now and in the celtic tiger yrs were only beginning to redress the balance

this is not about money it is about lack of commitment to the children in our state

over 50% of our young teenager in the lower socio economic group are leaving school with out any educational achievement

and are even less likely to get employment and the cycle perpetuates itself

it doesn't matter if we know the figures it has no bearing on what how this state Acts

in 200 yrs time your great great grandchildren will be able to find u and where u live that is assuming the address is correct because if it is incorrect there is no faciltiy to change it


just an observation

i wish what you were saying was true with all my heart

and I beg to differ with you about modern buildings being wheelchair accessible barriers to inclusion are still very prevalent nationwide you should sit in a wheelchair for a day and see where you can get in and out of modern or old bldgs alike it is better than it used to be but it has soem way to go to be perfect

I musta missed something do u seriously think the census influenced such things they havent used it to do anything since the last census

the government doesn't know what infrastructure is 15 yrs ago in Poland a country that is impoverished in many ways as we were 30 yrs ago however you could push a wheelchair on and off buses any where there u cant do that here in a lot of places despite the poverty they had infa-structure
they didnt need a a census to do that they have a more common sense approach



what has changed here we built and built and built and built and built oh and did I say built and the banks took the country to its knees from all the loans it made

was it the last census informed that sure wasnt there all sorts of people telling the government etc the bubble would burst and what did they do ........ oh they kept going and going and going and going oh and did I say going

and the bubble burst now how did that happen

if i thought for one moment that the census would help to improve this country id be knocking on everyones door to do it

it will tell us how many people are in the country NOT we already know some people wont fill them out tell lies disappear til its over

it will tell us how many children are due to start primary school next september
but will we get more teachers , smaller classrooms NOT

They are good people at least all the americans I know..... I was adopted by my friends family in chicago almost 30 yrs ago now and visit them as much as I can with my own family im headin there in june
I have friends in new york, jersey, minessota, michigan and ohio all wonserful wonderful people
