Just bought "A Woman To Blame" by Nell McCafferty - it's about a high profile case in the 1980's called the "Kerry babies" - I just wanted to know the whole story ...

I seen a documentary a couple of years back on RTE on this subject and it was brilliant. It happened when I was growing up and I had heard about it but didnt understand it at the time.
Will defo be interested in this and look forward to seeing what you think of it too. Love Nell.

Thank you tip hat

There were some great threads on here back in the day laugh but they were 50 book challenges which eventually petered out. It was great to read other peoples recommendations and it was great to read what other people thought of books I had read.

Anyways I like Stephen King but am not a fan of his horrors. He writes a mean short story and there are a few collections of his around I think.
Look forward to hearing what you think of this one.

Not for this thread laugh
Well the Allan Sillitoe doesnt count for this competition laugh Just kidding.

I have to be honest and admit I havent read Joseph O Connor even thought my mother keeps at me to read it so I'm unsure if they work as stand alone novels. Maybe someone else might tell you.

Nice to meet you.
