Things you have learned embarrassingly late-in-life..

It was never roast beef in my childhood. My third little piggy always got soft carrots.

Now I'm thinking even those weren't at their best...

Things you have learned embarrassingly late-in-life..

Yup

Childhood = ruined

The last line reads like an escape from the jaws of death after the revelation about the first!

"Wee-wee-wee (squealing piggy sounds) all the way home"

Things you have learned embarrassingly late-in-life..

Ever learned something new, but at a stage where it's embarrassingly much later than you should have?

So, here I am, 45 years old and I learned something today that I definitely should have known earlier in life.

That line in the kids' verse that goes "This little piggy went to market", does NOT mean that he's gone shopping! crying

What have you learned/discovered as an adult that you probably should have realised or learned at a much younger age?

RE: divorce

Do you mean pro bona?

RE: Has anyone experienced a frozen shoulder injury

Very quick fix.

Mine was 5/6 years ago so I'm not going to complain. Not even a slight niggle since.

RE: Has anyone experienced a frozen shoulder injury

Cortisone injection into the joint. Instant relief.

Same thing happened to me a few yrs ago. I plodded on with pain relief for months and eventually gave in and went to GP. One injection and I was right as rain before leaving the surgery. No ill effects. Immediate full motion and the pain never returned.

RE: Why are you watching SuperBowl ?

thumbs up It's way too slow, too padded out with safety gear, and far too many pauses in play.

Here's what we do here... it a cross between Field Hockey... and Murder!

The forums themselves aren't unfriendly, it's just an 'element' that uses them that can be a bit.... erm.... self-serving?

Mostly tho we get along I think. One learns very quickly who not to rub up the wrong way!

RE: Charlie Hebdo

RE: Charlie Hebdo

About 25% of the world's population are Muslim. Another 31% are Christian.

How many christians have committed murder over a doodle?

RE: How many CSers have you met?

Oh... one guy that I met years ago from here I'm still in contact with and hopefully will be for a long time to come. People do meet their best friends on here!!

RE: How many CSers have you met?

I've met somewhere in the region of 100.... at meets/events (one xmas event had about 100 attendees!)

One-on-one I've met maybe 30. Some impressed, some a complete loss, some played a good game until they were found out. One or two might've been worth it but were just too far away to maintain any sort of 'relationship'.

RE: holidays

Boxing day
Thanksgiving
Labour day
Memorial day
Veterans day
Victory day
Armistice day
Remembrance day
Canada day
Australia day
Any monarch's birthday
Any Independence day (even our own!)

and more...

RE: It isn't possible to radicalize an Agnostic

That's an Atheist

An Agnostic does not deny the (possible) existence of a god, but knows that it cannot be proven to exist.

RE: Misunderstood Sarcasm

Misunderstood?

Noooooo..... scold

That never happens on here... EVER!

RE: What have i done wrong ?????

RE: would you remarry ?

No, I said I'm not sure. I'm long time on my own and not sure I could do a relationship any justice

RE: would you remarry ?

RE: would you remarry ?

And he may actually be out there but to be honest, I don't know if I even want to be paired off!!

RE: would you remarry ?

My answer is 'no', I wont be marrying again. Can't guarantee i wont fall for someone, but marriage is not an option.
