You must find an old displaced African woman in the hills of Oesterreich and ask her to make you a set. She would be thrilled to do so I am sure.

In Ghana, they also signify fertility. I know you have already had your babes, but fertility and femininity are of one I think.. We nurture not only babes, but ideas and significant others.

I think I might have a bash at making some myself, I will make a set for Jan too, then we can all wear them.
They are just beautiful. I agree, fertility and femininity are of one.
I would need to find some special beads, I have just thought of a present for me daughter now...

A little hint...Use fishing line...Invisible, small and very strong. I butdon't know what they use in Ghana, but it is durable as heck....I made one hear from ordinary thread and I woke up in a pool of broken beads.
The one I made this evening is with very thin fishing line. It looks wonderful...
