dillinger: usually after about two months or so. but i never really found a term i liked, i don't like the word, "partner." too fussy, too middle class. don't like the word "girlfriend." too much like high school. "better half" is ok but smug guys have kinda ruined it cos they always put a sarcastic twist on it. i don't maybe mon chere, i kinda like that one

no, cos even that would sound totally cheesy. the worst one though was a girl i dated some years back who was a big aerosmith fan and she wanted me to call her mama kin. i couldn't do it, creeped me out everytime i tried it.
