And what's up with the sayings we hear every day? Like "Going the whole 9 yards". Being raised in a country that loves football where you have to go 10 years for a 1st down, that never made sense to me. Or in the south they like to say "I'M tellin ya". I know, I hear you talking. Or in Canada they say "A" for seemingly no reason at all. Why do they do that? Or "Can't win for loosing.." I love this one, like if you loose somehow you thought that would make you a winner. Or have you ever had someone star by saying something like, "I don't mean to tell you what to do", then proceed to tell you what you should do?
Why do people do that?
