you know your over an ex when your under/on top of a new mate...
some people you will never forget at least i hope not ... and if someone does make you forget them hang on for dear life

I don't think there is a set timescale. I usually find its a good indication when the little things that remind you of them don't bother you anymore e.g. like hearing their favourite song, watching their favourite movie etc......JMO

you know ur over someone when u stop comparing everyone u meet to them.well i think so anyway.hope this helps...!!!
depends on strength of feelings and how you broke up 1 ex that broke up with me ended very messy and took me nearly a yr not to feel cut up about it , but that was due to circumstances of breakup other ex was over it in a month or so
when its over its past tense..i just throw them in the trash bin
