Ralf74: Tames ones are great, reliable, consistant and know what is expected of them, but the wild ones are a hell of a lot of fun too. I like to train mine to know which the occasion calls for.

Yep,,,know em all,,,include Bullrout [freshwater stone fish],Thousand Moments[very small fish that has stinging spines,,found in tropical waters],eastern and wetern Tiapan[fierce snake]most deadly snake in the world],,stinging coral,,Lionfish,,Angel-cod,,a large variety of very poisonous Sea-snakes,,[mostly with tiny fangs],,stingrays,,,,,,,,After 27 yrs in the tropics,,there isnt much I havn't seen,,Yes ,,stonefish are v/painful,,as are butterfly cod,,,crocs can n will eat you,,but also taste quite nice when they are only 4 ft long,,the only dangerous shark is the one you don't see,,,if he's hungry ,,,although we are not their natural prey,,,I used to help trap n relocate crocs in N.QLD n have filmed many species of shark underwater, been bitten by Redbacked spiders n collected tiapans etc so they can be milked 4 their venom 2 produce antivenenes,,,,,,,,,,,and in my years of living in the tropics and other parts of Australia I have found the most deadly species to be,,,,,,,,the female Homo-erectus,,,,,,,approach with exteme caution,,,best left in the wlld,,,,,avoid domestication,,,,,
tainogirl: I've heard that there are quite a number of dangerous animals living in Australia.

Here's a list of what I've found so far:
Box Jelly Fish
Irukandji(Jelly Fish)
Salt Water Crocs
Blue Ring Octopus
Barrier Reef Cone Shell
Scorpion Fish
Stone Fish
Spiders
Sharks
Snakes

Has anyone ever had any intereaction with any of these? Are any of them in the city or just in remote areas? What do people usually do to protect themselves? If someone decides to visit what precautions should they take?
cheers
