I've recently been looking for a room to let and one big thing has struck me. Most of the people looking for rooms are 21-40 yo men willing to live with a)anyone b)anywhere c)any age
but most of the people advertising rooms are 21-35yo women looking to let to a)females b)professionals c)only under 40
I'm not sure what this means really. But probably just that women are thriving while men are reduced to grovelling around for a room.
On which note if anyone knows of any good rooms available in the North-West.....

Hi,Unsteady..
Renting has become so difficult now - there are so many constrictions..
No Smokers No Pets Must be Employed Dont breath too loud after 6pm, you know the story...
I think, in answer to your post, it is not because women are "thriving" and men are "grovelling"..I simply think alot of it is because women have more safety issues to think about when they take in people, and they have to maybe be more circumspect..
You may have tried the accommodation site I know of that may be of help to you, but please email me if you want me to let you know. I cant mention another site on open forum.
