whats wrong with the world of today !!!!!!! (12)

im sitting here and i have the news on......what is it with people.....that they have to carry a weapon with them...and worse is using them...3 stabbings in 3 countys in the last 24hrs..what chance have we of trying to teach our kids right from wrong when this is happening on a regular basis.....
sorry for been depressing everyone but its such a worry every time they walk out the door

yeah my heart does be in my mouth when mine aren't by the time they say they will.doesnt matter what age we still worry.

whats wrong is that we are completly disconnected from ourselves..

we are immeresed in a culture of greed and self-righteousness.. we dont care about our fellow man anymore, just what can we do to look after ourselves.. we want everything this instant and at whatever cost..

this feed over into people who are easily led, and live in deprived areas of the world.. if the leaders of the world were to make an attempt at changing the way society behaves at the top, it would trickle down eventually to everyone..

We have become desensitized.
You can show me any real, horrific picture on the likes of Rotten.com and it won't affect me.
Having a line of coke on a night out, is now like me deciding to have a tequila. Our limits have become warped.
People just don't value human life anymore.

I've only started watching the news this year and it never fails to amaze me how low humanity has sank.

My best friend was a victim of knife crime about 18 months ago. No one will ever be punished for this.

one of them happened near me its all to do with drugs,drink and rows then a knife is pulled out of the drawer and the accident happens its a sad country i just crime theirs no need for voilence

Hate to dissapoint you all but there never was a time when humanity was any different. 6 million Jews and half a million Gypsies (and we still don't like them) along with the other dead of the last world war. Then there were the trenches of the first world war with a whole generation butchered. You can go back through the Napoleonic wars and the American Indians. Like I say, it was always so.

But amongst all that, we managed to invent antibiotics and general anasthesia. We've more than doubled our life expectancy. We've travelled to the moon and to the depths of the ocean. We've all but eliminated TB, typhoid, the plague and the like.

So I guess we're just a bit of a mixed bag capable of great good and great evil. Here endeth the lesson.Angels and demons I guess.

aint it sad that they just get away with it,distant relation of mine was a victim of a knife crime recently an innocent fella in the wrong place at wrong time minding his buisness and an evil minded ------- stabbed him...and he has dissapeared and the usual will prob never be charged......

Id never carry a knife cause it would cause serious damage if it was used and i think any1 who does carry a knife for "protection" is an absolute scumbag
what is wrong using your fists?
I know u could still kill a person by punching them but the likelihood of a fatality from an assault is is significantly lower than stabbings
