vonney: No hun, what I am ofended by are ppl acting like the man was a saint. And I told you I had asense of humour.

A Saint? No. But surely the dead deserve some respect. I got a joke via text message about Michael Jackson and I decided not to forward it because I thought it was in ver bad taste. I'm no prude as someone said earlier, the guy had kids. I think if people don't respect him then they should at least show respect for his family.....JMO.

Well hun of course I respect your opinion. But I reserve the right to be of the opinion that just because he is dead it doesnt change the fact that I do not have respect for him.

I am hoping that his poor children might have some chance of a semblance of normality, something the poor things havent had so far.

Well Vonney he was acquitted of that charge, but I do agree that he was a very strange man but you have to admit he was a brilliant musician and the stuff in the 80s was brilliant, so thats how I'll remember him.

Well we all have a right to our own opinion. I wouldn't expect anything less.

I didn't respect him much as a person but i did respect him as a performer. I do think though that his family should be let mourn for him and the allegations against him should die with him. He was never proven guilty and I guess we will never know if they were true or not now. All I know is three kids have just lost their father and at times like this, that's whats important.......JMO.

That charge is not the reason for how I feel.
He was a great entertainer at one time yes, and I had many a great night dancing to his music.

His weirdness in thge later stage of his life, the surgery, bizarre mask wearing, paying women to have his children, mockery of a marriage to Lisa Marie Presley, the list goes on.

I am of the mind that if someone was not a good person when they were alive they were still nbot a nice person just because they are dead.

Fair enough point.

Personally, I just don't like to speak ill of the dead but that's just me.

That my dear is a whole other topic.

Lots of ppl have what we could call abnormal childhoods, when we become adults we are responible for our own actions.

Same here,i don't judge the dead...as my mum-in-law once said to my neighbour when she asked her opinion on someone who was in a scarey dangerous place in life recieved communion, she said "we are put here by God to be judged by him,not to judge for him".my mum-in-law has since passed on but i always remember her words in certain situations, this being one.

It was an out of court settlement, why else would the boys parents drop the charges so quickly?
Even if he was convicted the likelihood of jacko serving a long prison sentence was slim to none so they took the money and ran,

The 5 million was loose change to him at the timegrin

Hiya

I am not judging the dead, I just dont feel I should change my opinion because a person dies.
