Anyone tried the new Windows 7 out yet? I know there is a free download to try it out.. but I don't know anyone who has downloaded it yet.... I know Vista and I just do not mesh...
druidess6308: Same here. I was interested in seeing if Windows 7 was better...but nobody seems to have tried it yet.
And QSF, the only superflous question (or stupid one) is the one not asked...except here in forums.
(And yours was neither...it was a good one.)
Hi Dru.. and thanks for the nice words.. I found this article, and it seems the writer has given it the green light, so I am going to download it.. Hate vista.. free I read until next July... so nothing to lose...

I hope Microsoft has recreated Windows 7 from the ground up and not just take Vista and rework it with new bells and whistles and pass it off as Windows 7... One thing I do have to say about Vista over XP... It has a very good security scheme... Or does it???
QuietStormF: Exactly the same for me.. It came with my new laptop as well.... Well according to this article I read this new one has them all beat...
I hope so... But knowing Microsoft... The PC makers are going to have to design a whole new PC just to run it... I wouldn't recommend anyone upgrading to Windows 7 with their current PC... Or would I???

I would tend to think that if it is a fairly new computer, then it should be fine.. it does take up alot of room.. so read first.. In fact with any new upgrades the best thing to do is READ.. and when in doubt.. GOOGLE.. Google is your friend.

Especially read the fine print... And the biggest problem with search engines now is that it is hard to find what I'm looking for because to many websites are paying top dollar to be listed first... Or are they???

Hi QS ,
I have no idea about Windows 7 . Hope that you get in sorted .
Forget windows it's just a ploy to regenerate more money, wait for the new Google Operation system to be released that will work on all PC's and will wipe the floor with Microsoft and as it's based on Linux will be faster and more secure.
