I HATE fighting, makes me nauseous.
Remember new years eve in Cabra, this lad pulled a leg off a stool, and planted the naily bit into a lads skull, knocked over a heavily preggo girl.

Made me sick.

I went to the loo and vomited.

Disturbing.

Like, I am NEVER violent, ever.
One night in chipper, lad goes for my bros throat, I lost all sense of who I was and lamped a plastic bag full of cans off him. ( I swear I don't go everywhere with a bag full of Heino)

It was wrong, I didn't like that I did it. But it was instinct.

I see NO sense in fighting, that was the one time I ever got involved in a fight and it was only to look after my own. I regretted it after, felt fierce guilty.

There's no need for violence, in any situation.

What have you done to my heart?

What have you done to my heart?
It used to be open, like a rose in full bloom
It used to sing at the sound of your voice
And dance when you entered the room

You hid the monster so well
The one that deep inside you did dwell
The one that I tried to ignore
But he came out each time we closed the front door

And he would stamp on my heart
Pulling the petals further apart
Till nothing was left in my breast
Just the cold hand of fear clutched at my chest

What have you done to my heart?
It used to be so full of light
Now what’s left is wrapped up in chains
And if someone gets close it takes flight

Ya see..... Thing is, my ex was good aul skin, just couldn't handle his drink. Like I know any lad that hits a gal is a dodgy character but honestly, this lad loved his family, loved me......
That's what makes it so hard, knowing they are capable of being good.

The drink is no excuse in my opinion. If thats what happens when someone drinks then its time to stop drinking....JMO

My cousin was in an abusive relationship and I only found out towards the end of the relationship. I'm not a violent person but I would make an exception for thugs like that. I think its a conrol freak issue. Bullies like that rarely pick on someone their own size.

LadyBlackAdder: Jakers, the original op was "Why do men do it?" and its turned into "Why dont the women leave?". Dont blame the poor ladies with low self esteem for "letting" those bastids beat them. Some men do it because its easier than talking something out or finding out what the problem really is and it makes them feel in control.
thumbs up

tgwstw: Because that type of man, doesn't classify as a man.
Any person, regardless of gender that hits another...... is mentally ill and void of intellect.
You have to be able to discuss things, in a rational manner.
I was with a lad, who was lovely sober, after a few shots he'd throw a slap at anything that came his way, didn't matter if it was me or anyone else.

Just an idiot.

I've seen it more times than I'd like, mainly from fellas.
But women do it too, and the lads rarely speak up about it.

It is sickening and disturbing to watch.

thumbs up well said hess
