Long SHORT Haired Country Boy
.

People say I'm no-good,
And crazy as a loon.
I get stoned in the morning,
I get drunk in the afternoon.
Kinda like my old blue tick hound,
I like to lay around in the shade,
An', I ain't got no money,
But I damn sure got it made.

'Cos I ain't askin' nobody for nothin',
If I can't get it on my own.
If you don't like the way I'm livin',
You just leave this long, SHORT-haired country boy alone.

Preacher man talkin' on the TV,
He's a-puttin' down the rock 'n' roll.
He wants me to send a donation,'Cos he's worried about my soul.
He said: "Jesus walked on the water,"And I know that is true,
But sometimes I think that preacher man,
Would like to do a little walkin', too.

But I ain't askin' nobody for nothin',
If I can't get it on my own.
You don't like the way I'm livin',
You just leave this longSHORT-haired country boy alone.

Instrumental Break.

A poor girl wants to marry, And a rich girl wants to flirt.
A rich man goes to college,And a poor man goes to work.
A drunkard wants another drink of wine,And a politician wants a vote.
I don't want much of nothin' at all,But I will take another toke.

'Cos I ain't askin' nobody for nothin',If I can't get it on my own.
If you don't like the way I'm livin',
You just leave this long-SHORT haired country boy alone.

Sarko another thing...you are talking about bringing in reforms like Maggie did in the UK around 1979....DO me a favour and start in the schools because the number of dickheads here in France is beyond a joke..I've been living here for the best part of 15yrs and I can easily count the number of intelligent french people with one hand..;

Get a move on or move out...

Sarko here's another thing i can't get my head around about the french....

They complain they haven't any spare cash to piss against the wall with...So you come up with the bright idea of opening stores on Sundays..well not everyone can shop during the week....work commitememnts etc...but what do the french say..Wot work on Sunday..bad idea..dear french folk you can't have it both ways..if you want extra cash in your sky rocket then get off your lazy butts and work...

Can someone explain to me this 35 hour a week thingy...if you want more money then you gotta do more than 35 hrs a week..

Another thing I thought fire men where meant to put out fires not start them as they did in the south of sarko land..Thats right folks some of the fires that raged across the south of france where started by fire men complaining about how little they got paid..and to put the icing on the cake they weren't even real full time fire men but voluntary ones..voluntary means (in my books)..;you do it for free...

And....whats all this with farmers going into shops and destroying food on the shelves...I mean the back handers they (farmers) get from Europe..there's no need for destroying good food; There are enough people in the world with out anything to eat and all you lot want to do is smash it up..

One last thing whats this nonsense about a few pissed off employees holding Renault to ransom..;So they are getting paid off..there's a credit crunch....;And what did the french workers do ..blackmail the bosses by saying if they don't get what they want, they are going to blow up the factory tomorrow...Why not send in the Army, swat, GIGN or some special ops force to kick their stupid asses and haul them in front of a court and lock them up for being twats....

And another thing whats with this law 'Hadopi'....Banning people form the net because they download some music....

It aint going to work...lets face it, I can sit in the middle of Paris with a laptop and with the aid of WIFI down load what i want....and who's going to know..It's not rockect sciencs...with a tweak here and there..push a few buttons and hey presto I've a new Mac addy..

What if a muckers called round to see me and said 'Phoenix my man...thats some graet rockin' sounds you have there...'and I slap them on to a blank CD and give it to him...where's the difference between me swapping some of the music I bought with my hard earned cash and doing it online...maybe he (my mucker) lives many many miles away and we can't see each other for a pint...there is no harm done...

La France'

La France, you've been livin' hell to me
You've hosted me since nineteen ninety four
I've seen 'em come and go and I've seen them die
And long ago I stopped askin' why

La France I hate every inch of you.
You've cut me and have scarred me thru an' thru.
And I'll walk out a wiser weaker man
Sarko why can't you understand.

La France, what good do you think you do?
Do you think I'll be different when you're through?
You bent my heart and mind and you warped my soul,
And your stone walls turn my blood a little cold.

Sarko, may you rot and burn in hell.
May your Elysée Palace fall and may I live to tell.
May all the world forget you ever stood.
And may all the world regret you did no good.

La France, I hate every inch off you.

I can't vote..I'm not french...I've lived here for the best part of 15 years and up until last year I was denied the right to vote...simply because I don't have french nationality...I could apply for it and probably get it. But I was born Irish and I'll die Irish...I don't want another nationality...I'm proud to be Belfast bred and buttered....I wont swear alliegence to another flag. I try to respect the laws and rules...But thats as far as it goes...

I have the right to vote in local elections...but only since last year..

Elvis Presley Clean Up Your Own Backyard

(words & music by b. strange - s. davis)

Back porch preacher preaching at me
Acting like he wrote the golden rules
Shaking his fist and speeching at me
Shouting from his soap box like a fool
Come sunday morning hes lying in bed
With his eye all red, with the wine in his head
Wishing he was dead when he oughta be
Heading for sunday school

Clean up your own backyard
Oh dont you hand me none of your lines
Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, Ill tend to mine

Drugstore cowboy criticizing
Acting like hes better than you and me
Standing on the sidewalk supervising
Telling everybody how they ought to be
Come closing time most every night
He locks up tight and out go the lights
And he ducks out of sight and he cheats on his wife
With his employee

Clean up your own backyard
Oh dont you hand me none of your lines
Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, Ill tend to mine

Armchair quarterbacks always moanin
Second guessing people all day long
Pushing, fooling and hanging on in
Always messing where they dont belong
When you get right down to the nitty-gritty

Isnt it a pity that in this big city
Not a one alittle bitty manll admit
He could have been a little bit wrong

Clean up your own backyard
Oh dont you hand me, dont you hand me none of your lines
Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, Ill tend to mine

Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, Ill tend to mine

Trying to judge France by French politicians
is like judging a dog by his fleas.

All French national politicians, regardless of party, must, by law, graduate from the same "Polytechnique" University, from which they cannot successfully "pass" into national politics unless they submit to the authority of a secret society similar to the "skull and bones".

So of course, politics here are totally corrupt.
Just as they are in the US, England, and most everywhere else.

The major difference is that here in France, the people KNOW their politicians are just as corrupt and self-serving today as the kings were in the past.

So they do what they have always done.
They do their best to live around it all.

The only people who get involved in politics in France are those who want to impose their own program on others.
And everybody knows it.

And the other side of the coin is that, just as all politicians are cut from the same fabric, so are all supposed "student movements". There is no such thing as a spontaneous movement of any kind in French politics. Every student "protest" is organized and directed from behind the scenes by existing political parties who just use the students as pawns in their projects.

Typically a student protest will choose some "student oriented" cause such as the closing of certain schools or the lack of teachers or something like that. The major parties choose their position and the kids just take their place in the marches as assigned. It's fun to miss school, and besides someone is taking names as to who did and didn't participate.

So everybody plays their part, including the hired troublemakers who insure a certain degree of violence and destruction, thus mandating some sort of political action.

Peace only comes again after the desired legal change has been imposed, under the guise of political necessity.

Oops, mixed up my "grands écôles".

The one that produces presidents is called "Science Po".
Polytechnique is another one.

Same sort of snob elitism though.
