Hey Taino

If an old castle is what your looking for and to see it as it was then Trim in co meath is the place...its also close to where the battle of the boyne took place and Brian Boru stopped there .. the castle is perfectly preserved and if you want to see then watch Braveheart the film with Mel gibson.. the main castle scenes were shot there.. its fab.. it was abandoned by the family who owned it in 1610 and years and years of rubble and dirt built up inside preserving it when they removed all the soil and dirt they found a perfect castle just as it was.. its really interesting to do the tour of it... if you google it you will see it..

County meath has tons of historical sights a few were mentioned in previous posts.. hill of tara where the high kings of ireland sat and newgrange are great places to visit and beautiful...lucky to live so close to them...

hope this helps...

It seems that the Cliff of Moher are set to become one of the 'new' 7 wonders of the world - but if you need the 'gift of eloquence' then definitely visit Blarney Castle.yay
