HDALEINDIANAPOLIS, Indiana USA8 Threads 1 Polls 97 PostsI have gone home,not ours now, and to relatives houses and properties and friends .Why did they get smaller ? I've only grown a few inchess and lbs ,but when I was a kid and teenager the abundance of space was great,Now I see the area wonder and how did we have so many good times stuffed in such a small space ?

I have felt the same when I went home to the farm after 35 years away ....the house seem so large and now it is so small ....good post

I went back to where I grew up and it all got developed. All my favorite fields and woods now have houses all through them. I kind of wish I hadent gone back so I could remember it the way it was 50 years ago.

I know the feeling. When I was a little girl there was a rock shaped like a chair that sat very high, and I used to sit up there in a circle of pines and just "be". I also used to hide in a smoke room we had in our house for smoking meat, and it felt so huge in there. I went back as a teen, and couldn't believe how small both of those really were.
