kidatheart: What kind of squeal? Did you run over a piglet?

You'll have to be a little more descriptive, is it rotaional, high pitched, does it occur or change when turning corners, braking, accelerating?

maybe i did i never checked laugh laugh

It can be high pitched, thers also a noise when i brake or accelerate but not all the time dunno

How long ago did this start? If it is a piglet, it may be well past the making bacon stage by now.laugh

Brake pads have a stainless steel tab that rubs on the rotor when the pads get worn down to a certain point, which will make a high pitched squeal. It can come and go, and usually there when turning corners or braking, bringing the tab closer to the rotor, from the pads moving, or wheel bearing deflection.

It could also be a wheel bearing, but that usually has a grumbling sound associated with the squeal, and eventually turns into a grinding, closely followed by a loud clunk as it all falls to pieces. laugh

nitak: Thank you both ....

I have a noise in the front right wheel? sometimes it squeels a bit ....

also in the boot although thats been there a long time, had it checked out before and they couldnt find anything, but its sooooooooo annoying

More than likely your pads are worn down.

BTW from what I read this thread seems more like 'jokes support thread', if people actually have problems they need helping with just help them instead of making a joke of it.

top the power steering oil up and turn the wheel full both ways to bleed it if the squealing stops thats fine , if the squealing gets louder when you press the go pedal [ aka the accelerator] it will be the water pump , try getting in the habit of checking your type pressure once a week it saves a huge amount on petrol and wear and tear on the power steering oh dont turn the steering wheel unless your moving as it wears your tyres so fast .................

happy motoring
