You'll do fine. It's no worse than hooking up a DVD player and TV when you get right down to it.

A little advice though. Do the research on the parts before you buy them. Some motherboards and hard drives are more prone to trouble than others.

Avoid buying grey market. There is a very good reason it is second string almost every time. I'd buy used first.

Don't try to save money on the CPU and case fans. Cooking an expensive CPU or motherboard negates the $10 you saved on the fan and more.

Likewise don't skimp on RAM. Buy a good brand from a trustworthy seller. Much of the cheap stuff is trash.

Freeware and shareware are the way to fly on aplications. Give me a yell with what you need and I will send download links.
Have fun.[/quote]thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up Well said. On the subject of power supplies though, I will say Get one that is not too small nor just exactly right. You may want to upgrade down the road.

I have had many come to me b/c they upgraded and their power supply was not able to handle the load.

You will do fine Tanio!!!!hug hug

Discharge any static by touching bare metal on the case before touching the motherboard etc. Then just rest your arm on the case as you work.As long as are not standing on a carpet as you work all should be A-OK.
