I do not know how many would agree with me but I like to keep up with the news, but one day a couple of years ago I tried looking at it from a different perspective as though I had never even read a paper before! I suddenly realised what the Media was all about and thinking back over the years I came to this conclusian.

I think that the Media controls about 90% of the population it controls what we Eat,what we Like ,who we Hate, who we Love,Vote for, feel Sorry for, make Famous, what we BUY and even who we Mourn for.

I could go on but the Media seems to control most day to day things we do they twist the truth to suit themselves and if they are proven wrong they just switch to something else.

The normal person on the street just takes in what ever they say and think or does what they preach, just for a second think about it.

This is why for the most part I dont engage in the media. Sad to say but they are a business and they are selling their stories. sigh

Yes it does control a lot of things. The media loves to send the fear factor out for ongoing stories. They set trends of food, fashion, health and hiccups. Probably responsible as a big contributor of the global warming crisis! mumbling

The sad reality is that if you want to work as a real journalist now, you have to get a job with a major corporation.... writing press releases. They are the only journalists actually writing anything now.

The media journalists just take the press releases that have been fed to them and copy them verbatim... they put their own names to the stories without even checking them for factual accuracy. drinking
