Just how long are we going to have to be asleep for? I guess that depends on when the Rising occurs? I was raised Catholic and have always believed we go somewhere be it Heaven or Hell instantly then rise on Judgement day now I'm hearing priests and other religious figures say we sleep then rise to Heaven?

I have never heard that we sleep before we go to Heaven. I believe the Church taught that the souls who lived before the Resurrection were not able to access Heaven until Christ's work was finished. It seems to be a debated topic. Look up "soul sleep" on Google or your favorite Internet search engine.

From dim Catechistic recollection, Sheol, Hebrew for grave, is the first Death, and we sleep in Sheol until Resurrection, and then we are Judged. Those who are not written in the Book of Life are cast into the Lake of Fire, which is the second, and final Death.

yea the Lake of Fire sounds fun. hope i don't end up there. i guess my question is do we go to Heaven or Hell after death or after the second death or Judgment day.
