I did't see it, but yes I Do think its wrong!
I can't even begin to understand how any Mother can bare to live without their child/children,after they have been taken by either Death or abduction, or illness its every mother's worse nightmare, but to Walk away from your own flesh and blood is just beyond me,children when you have them are your reason to live, seriously I can't think of any reason any Mother would willingly leave their child. The though even scares me.

me neither...but then some women just dont have the maternal instinct..and some do....same as men some are paternal some aren't...no matter which way it is..its the child who feels rejected...and thats just heartbreaking...that can really mess up their heads

well i think women in gen find it harder to do it than guys
maybe they cant cope or feel its in best interests to leave with father or grandparents or severe post natal depression but can also be pure selfish reasons never just 1 answer
i know 1 guy from here raising kids on his own and doing a great job my neighbour round the corner from me is another guy raising his own child and another she had from another relationship bcause girl is to immature and selfish
and he is only 22 and i know kids are better with him than her

i could understand PND, but you can help for that, it had one woman on it saying she had no regrets for leaving her kids, they were holding her back, she wanted to be a wrighter selfish or what

my little girl means the world to me,
id never be able to walk out on her at all. from the moment she was born maternal instinct kicked in right away,

ive actually finished readn a book and it had the same storylines as this thread, it was based on how she was married and had the perfect job while the husband stayed at home with the child full time, cut long story short she hadnt got the maternal instincts as most women who devote 24 hours 7 days a week to their child,

another way is post natal depression maybe they cant bare it.. ive a friend who went through it and hr parents ended up fostering the kids ya she had twins and wasnt able 2 cope

and then a year later she had another baby and felt similar but got help so depends on the woman and the situation maybe they feel they're better off not having them around as in how the mothers feel towards the babies life..

who are we to judge any mother?Everyone has a different story.I believe if a woman leaves her kids, for whatever reason, there is an underlying problem resulting in what we see as extreme.A lot of time its a cry for help, and it does,nt mean they are not maternal.Remember the mother, whom, just left her kids, flew to Portugal, and did,nt even have spending money????Bet she really just needed a little help at home, like someone to make her a tea, give a hug, mothers are human too.So dont be too harsh here.

Well i for one will never get my head around it.. Its not even the selfishness of leaving your child its 'unnatural' its our animal instinct to love and protect and nourish our children. No excuses, yes men do it all the time, but thats to do with the nature of the animal and females protect their young. To any man rearing a child/children without the mother .. respect!
