Barrack obama while being instrumental in ATTEMPTING TO change the international climate regarding conflict resolution Has yet to fullfill this task
I understand he is involved my argument is simply this award is premature !!!
Since when is a peace prize awarded to someone who says they WANT peace!!!

When you have the title of President of the United States, and say you want peace is when you'll get your prize!

Seriously apart from words of hope , words proclaimming peacefull resolutions to world crisis & tentions where is the tangible evidence this man has or for that matter will do anything substancial towards world peace !!!

serene56: Mm .. no doubt world opinion is divided on whether Barrack Obama "deserved" the Prize, given his short term in office etc. But it seems that the award was presented to him more for "promise" than "performance" .. and puts pressure on him to fulfil those promises. At the end of the day, I guess he's in a position to have far more influence and wide-ranging effect on global issues than most individuals
he is a smart man .. you dont necessarily have to HAVE DONE GOOD THINGS.. you can be doing things to increase the chances of GOOD THINGS HAPPENING IN THE FUTURE ... I like him.. and if this is what he is trying to do then good on him for getting it
No ones disputing thathe is a good bloke blonde but comon its just not fair he got it not when others have done so many real things to aid peace in wartorn areas of outr globe!!!
He should have given it back !
