Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor

It should be able to tell you if Windows 7 will run on your machine.

BTW, a fresh install is going to be a lot more stable than an upgrade, so you'll need to backup all your favourites, passwords etc before you start.

I ran that system test on mine. everything is ok.

Got a surprise in the result window though...told me that because my laptop is new, I can get the upgrade for free. Only have to pay for the postage... result thumbs up

Windows admitted that Vista is crap, we should all get it for free.

Umm uh oh far too many technical bits in that for me... once it has a mouse, a keyboard and a screen its fine for me.

might be a good place to start, from my own experience, I've dealt with them for about 3 1/2 years, haven't had a prob so far, they've a selection of MSI boards too.
