Yeah I have to agree with you on that, the odd suspicious questions I've been asked in emails have been weird, but I will say they have back up the questions with some strange stories of why they now need to ask these questions......

Well of course we are. Half the time we don't know the real age, character or even gender of the person we're in contact with. All the signs you pick up in a real life meeting are missing on the internet.

But what about the women who make first contact, and then start with the spanish inquisition. if anything it's a bit of turn off if you ask me.

i agree. thats why i come onto the forums to chat and have a laugh. and maybe make some new mates. i'm not bothered with dating on here, i find it too weird not being able to see and hear the person, like you said the signs arent there like in real life and without them i wouldn't make my move

typically women with insecurities project those insecurities onto us (men). thats just something you'll have to get used to

I have not had any negative experiences on a dating site...although if i contact some one or some one contacts me (never happens) Im quick to point out that Im just here to make friends for the most part.
its just a social thing for me and I treat it as such. If some one is ignorant towards me in real life i will ask them straight out what there problem is...i do the same on line.
I know that women have different problems on line to what you are describing but have never heard a guy mention what you are saying so cheers. At least now im prepared

well to be honest after what happened to me i did kinda go defensive and i prob would have said ....no filth talk or the like fairly soon into chatting to someone new...but after a while i wound my neck in and relaxed againthis computer dating things is very new and/or strange to a lot of ppl if we're honest about it, and it can be hard to figure ppl out on it...thats why i think the forums are great cos you can get a sense of how the person thinks before you take it to the next level
i actually think it should be made compulsory to come into the forums and interact with whos here but thats jmo
