Which was "A few of us work hard so pay us all more and sod the lot of yi's" and now is "I'm off, the debate isn't going my way".

As for people mailing you to say fair play; odd they'd mail you to agree with you but not post on here. Hmmmroll eyes

Scrap over

Don't worry, I'll get it going again...

First off, this isn't a moan, just stating the truth.

As a lone-parent who is also a carer, I get a secondary payment on top of my lone-parents cuz technically I can't work or take up a course or CE scheme cuz of the carer's bit.

I'm not going to be over-joyed about taking a cut, but if I know everyone else is in the same boat and this is somehow supposed to set things a little bit straighter, then fair enough.

It's already been said that if the public sector don't take the 6% or so cut, then as well as taking my 6% cut, I'll more than likely lose my secondary benefit. The 2 added together will mean a 36% cut in my weekly money, and that's without the indirect effects like stealth taxes.

There are many others in similar circumstances.

Maybe this is why people are getting so uptight over the public secor's insistance not to have their money touched.

Public sector workers can argue their case, go on strike or whatever they want, the money just isnt there to pay them.
I wouldnt like to see people lose their jobs or have their pay cut but something has to give and it will probably be a bit of both,, Question is , how many jobs will be lost, which departments or areas will lose out and what will be the reductions in salary by taxation or otherwise.
